Sue Ryder comes to Bilborough

Many people believe that once you have a life-changing illness, there's little left.. We don't.

Our services include specialist palliative, and long-term care in our residential and day centres, day clinics, in the community or at home.
We care for people living with cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, stroke, brain injury and other life changing illnesses.

Our shops raise money for people who need the care and support from our nurses and other staff members who make a difference every day.

Sue Ryder has opened a shop in Bilborough. We have been extremely pleased with all of the positive feedback received and would like to thank the community for getting involved and supporting us.

As you know, charity shops rely on donations. Please pop in at any time for donation bags and support us where you can.

We are located on Bracebridge Drive, Bilborough. We are looking for any unwanted Christmas gifts, quality donations and furniture.

Any tax payers who would like to donate, could also gift aid their items, as long as you as a donor pay UK tax. This is a scheme in which we can receive an extra 25% on top of any items sold. This does not come out of your wages or pension. It will be through any tax you would have paid anyway.

By applying the gift aid principle to donated goods, we have been able to increase their value by 25%. This means that if we sold your dress for £5.00, we could reclaim an additional £1.25, raising a total of £6.25 to help people with life-changing illness. That's almost one stress-relieving complementary therapy session for someone with cancer.

Gift aid is a really simple way of raising extra money to support our health and social care work.

How do I sign up?

All you need to do is sign our gift aid declaration form when you bring your donation to one of our shops.

At the shop a member of staff will process your completed gift aid declaration form and issue you with a unique Donor ID number on your gift aid donor ID card. Simply present the card on repeat visits to any of our shops across the country to make more from your donations. Your donated items will be labelled with the Donor ID number to enable us to capture sales information and we will keep you up to date with the total amount of money raised from their sale. This is a requirement of Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs.

Finally from all of the staff and volunteers at Sue Ryder in Bilborough, we would like to say Thank You for all of your support.
